Make a Great First Impression
These days your digital image is your first impression. Your headshot appears on your social media pages, website, LinkedIn profile, and even your address book.
A portrait doesn’t have to be old-fashioned and boring. Our headshots and executive portraits are modern, clean and personalized.
Our headshots are photographed from the shoulders up, typically on a white, gray, or black background. Executive portraits, on the other hand, typically have a personalized environmental element and are often half-body or 3/4 length.

On-location sessions start at $500 and vary depending on timing, logistics, and the number of subjects.
When was the last time you updated your headshot?
We recommend updating your headshot at least every three years or anytime your look changes significantly. The goal is to have a modern and professional portrait that shows who you are today.
Who needs a headshot?
Everybody these days needs a headshot. Professionals, businesses of all sizes, Realtors, public figures, models, and actors are all great examples. We have even photographed headshots for circus performers!
In addition to single-person headshots and executive portraits, we also provide group portraits. These are perfect for Real Estate Teams, Law Firm Partners, Business Partners, or any other professional team or group.
When you come to us for a portrait, you will receive a custom-tailored client experience and our exceptional craftsmanship in the products you receive.

It's our only job to make you look great!
Preparing for your session
Wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.
Remember, when you feel good, you look good.
If possible, stick with solid colors and avoid loud patterns or stripes. Choose colors that accentuate your skin tone, but that aren’t so strong that they take the attention away from your face.
Wearing a jacket or long sleeves typically looks much better than short sleeves or sleeveless shirts.
If you aren’t sure about what you want to wear, feel free to email your outfits to us ahead of time or bring a few different outfits and accessories with you to the studio.
Hair and Makeup:
Professional hair and makeup can mean the difference between a good portrait and an amazing portrait. We recommend having your hair done professionally somewhere you are familiar with. Let us know if you need a recommendation.
What to Expect
Phone or Email Consultation
It all starts with a conversation over the phone or via email. Some people do this before they book, other people do it afterward. The consultation is a time for us to discuss the style of headshot you want, how you intend to use it, and how to dress.
In Front of the Camera
Please do your best to arrive on time. We often book sessions back-to-back, and I want to make sure we aren’t rushed. After spending a couple of minutes to get acquainted, we’ll show you a few basics of posing, take a test shot or two, then begin the session.
One thing that our customers tell us they love is that we photograph directly to a computer so we can see the images, make any changes, and select our favorites in real time.
A typical session happens in two phases. We start by taking a variety of photographs with your head and body turned different ways and asking for various expressions. The purpose of this step is to help us get a sense of what you like and don’t like. It also helps with your body awareness so you can understand how moving your body or head in certain ways changes the look of the portrait.
The 2nd phase is where we typically get our “keeper” images. Here, we refine your posing and expression to get the images that you’ll love.
Image Retouching & Delivery
We professionally retouch and deliver all images to a “standard” level of retouching. That means that the photographs look like the best version of you.
We’ll lighten lines, remove blemishes, and smooth blotchy skin. If there are particular things you want to have retouched, please let us know.
We will deliver your images to you through a private online gallery where you’ll be able to view and download them.
Your images also come with unlimited, unrestricted license. Use them for printing, posting online, or sharing with family and friends.
We promise to provide your photos within five business days, but we often can get them to you much sooner, sometimes even the same day.
For most people, getting a new headshot isn’t their highest priority and is something that just needs to be checked off a to-do list. For businesses, it’s even worse… the poor person in charge of coordinating headshots probably has a million things on her plate and dealing with coordinating a “picture day” seems like a time-suck of a project.
But… it doesn’t have to be that way!
The two places where we have seen the biggest bottlenecks, for both companies and individuals, are in the booking and scheduling process and in the selection and image delivery. At Adam Lowe Creative, we have a solution to both of those problems that make the whole process insanely simple.
Many professionals might think they are able to survive the professional world without a headshot. After all, it is difficult to carve time out of a busy schedule and it seems like a lengthy process. However, a professional headshot is imperative in order to have a successful career – it sets the tone of what message the person is trying to convey professionally.
There are several industries and positions where a headshot is absolutely vital. You might ask yourself, “who needs a professional headshot?” and should I be getting one? Maybe I’m biased, but I think everybody should have a professional headshot these days. Here are a few of the professions and industries we have identified as those who should definitely have a professional headshot taken.

Often, people link headshots with movie stars, models, and other celebrities. However, headshots are also commonly used for business marketing. When you own or run a business, people associate your face with your business. That’s why it so important that you have a high-quality, professional headshot. Using your phone, electronic device or camera to take a photo just isn’t good enough. It is a common misconception that the headshot process is similar to school yearbook pictures: you sit on a stool and it’s one-and-done, over before you know it. However, this is simply untrue. Depending on time constraints and positions, headshot sessions often vary in timing. CEO headshot photo shoots can take up to two hours, while average working professionals and executives tend to spend up to 20 minutes with photographers hired by the company.
